Luminale 2016 - 431art

As part of the Luminale 2016, we were able to support 431art in the realization of their light installation "The Rise of the Bamboo" and turn their wonderful idea into reality.

"Two bamboo plants made of light grow before the eyes of the audience over several floors of the sustainable residential high-rise "PRAEDIUM", which is currently under construction, and sway in the wind. Bamboo, which in Asia is associated with happiness, growth, stability, prosperity and vitality, was also the inspiration for the design of the entrance."

Covering the scaffolding with protective nets on the façades provided a further artistic component that allowed the complexity and motif of the growing plant to be depicted in depth.

The installation could be viewed by passers-by over several nights and was a refreshing change in the midst of building sites and scaffolding constructions.
